Clinical Application Skills

It is advised not to fasten the probe when in examination in the section of outpatient. Because the sound of artery will disappear when pet moves. It is better to press the probe with one's finger.

There is needing to apply a little more pressure to make the probe contact pets skin as much as possible.

It is advised to listen to the sound of pulse with earphone because the sound can be heard clearer and pets can be protected from being scared by the sound.

If using speaker, please appropriate volume. If too loud, it is not good to ear and some sound will be missed.

Keeping pet's leg straight. If not, blood flow will be influenced and the examination result will not be so accurate.

It is better to do the measurement for 6 to 7 times so that pets become calm. First few numerical values will be higher; following values will be lower and stable.
